Markus Hofstätter captures the "essence of being human" in his portraits. His passion for his craft and his love of detail can be felt in every picture. He specialises in photographing and developing images using the collodion wet-plate process, for which he uses a camera that is over 100 years (!) old.
Every portrait tells a story. Hofstätter's pictures are not just images, but reflections of the human soul. Working with the wet plate requires a lot of patience, but the results are of timeless beauty.
